  1. Rights of the Deep (2024), is an open letter co-authored by Emma Critchley with Pacific based experts, marine scientists, and legal scholars that takes Pacific Indigenous knowledge as its starting point. It is an important contribution to the newly emerging Rights of Nature movement and reflects on humanity’s relationship with the deep ocean, advocating for its protection.
